Privacy & Data Sovereignty Protocol

Last updated: April 13, 2026

1. The Client-Side Mandate

At PDF Magic Box, we adhere to a strictly "Local-First" architectural philosophy. Unlike traditional cloud-based PDF utilities that require you to upload sensitive documents to a remote server, our processing engine utilizes **WebAssembly (WASM)** and high-performance JavaScript to execute all document manipulations directly within your browser's sandbox.

Your files never leave your device. We do not have servers capable of receiving, storing, or viewing the contents of your PDFs.

2. Passive Data Collection

While we do not see your document contents, we may collect non-identifiable technical data to ensure the operational stability of the toolset:

  • Technical Telemetry: Browser variant, operating system, and hardware acceleration status to optimize the WASM rendering pipeline.
  • Aggregated Interaction: Non-identifiable interaction metrics (e.g., total documents merged across all users) to guide UI development.
  • DDoS & Security Logs: Standard network logs (IP addresses, timestamps) collected by our hosting provider for edge security and infrastructure defense.

3. Advertising & Cookies (Google AdSense)

We utilize Google AdSense to sustain the development of this free resource. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites.

  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve targeted advertisements based on your browsing history.
  • Users can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • No data from your PDF processing workspace is shared with Google or any third-party advertising entity.

4. GDPR & CCPA Compliance

We respect your global privacy rights. Under the GDPR (EU/EEA) and CCPA (California), you have certain rights regarding your personal information.

Since PDF Magic Boxdoes not maintain user accounts or persistent document storage, we generally do not possess "Personal Data" that would necessitate a Right to Erasure for tool usage. Your document data is purged from your browser RAM as soon as you close the tab.

5. Infrastructure Security

All traffic to PDF Magic Box is encrypted via TLS/SSL. Our assets are distributed via a Globally Federated Content Delivery Network (CDN), protected by advanced WAF (Web Application Firewall) protocols.
